SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to therapeutic dentistry, and can be used to protect the oral cavity organs from short-wave ultraviolet radiation from the root canal zone of the tooth when carrying out pre-ablative sanation of the root canal system in the treatment of complicated forms of caries. Stopper for protecting the oral organs from the propagation of the shortwave ultraviolet radiation of the disposable fiber-optic tip is made in the form of a conical shaped base from a light-tight biocompatible silicone material with a chrome inner surface having a central opening, with possibility of tight fit to the tooth tissues and a tight connection with a disposable tip.

EFFECT: invention allows to concentrate ultraviolet ray in the closed space of the root canal of the tooth, while the thermochromic surface of the stopper is a reflector, which improves the quality of the pre-ablative treatment of the root canal system of the tooth.
