FIELD: monitoring systems.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to security monitoring methods of a trail. Method consists in deploying a detection means so that its detection zone crosses the path at two sites on both sides of the bend point of a trail; establishment of a gap between the lower boundary of the detection zone and the trail of at least 0.6 m in the area closest to the detection means; setting the maximum value of the accumulation time of alarms based on the minimum possible human speed and distance, it passes between the intersections of the detection zone and the trail; application in the system of data collection and processing algorithm, recognizing the reason for the transition of the detection means to the alarm mode according to the number of the received alarms within the set time of signal accumulation.

EFFECT: technical result is the ability to recognize alarms when a person is detected, moving along the trail, from false alarms when medium-sized animals are detected using only one detection means.
