FIELD: biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to biochemistry, genetic engineering, in particular to a novel modified version of L-aspartate oxidase, a polynucleotide encoding it, a vector for expressing said enzyme, and also a microorganism for its production. Said microorganism is used to prepare quinolinate and nicotinic acid by cultivating such a microorganism in the necessary medium.
EFFECT: present invention enables to increase the efficiency of preparing quinolinate and nicotinic acid.
