DEVICE FOR TEMPORARY PLUGGING OF BULLET HOLES IN FILLED WITH FLUID RIGID HOLLOW STRUCTURES Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC B63B43/16 

FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to bullet holes in liquid rigid hollow articles filled with liquid temporary sealing means and can be used for temporary sealing of holes in ship hulls. Device consists of an elastic conical plug 1 with a thread on the outer surface and a device for installing the plug into a bullet hole. Device includes a rod 6, one end of which is made for socket wrench, and at the other end a flywheel for rotation of the rod 6 is fixed. On the rod 6 two bushings 10 and 11, separated by a spring 9 are arranged. Bushing 10 is fixed rigidly to the rod 6, and bushing 11 is made with an annular flange with possibility of sliding along the rod 6, in which an annular groove 13 is made, which is closed by the spring 9 in an inoperative position. Device comprises a conical screen with the inner surface facing towards the plug 1. Screen is made with articulated spokes 14 and 15, on which an elastic oil-and-petrol resistant transparent material 16 is fixed. Spokes 14 and 15 are hinged on the sleeves 10 and 11 with their free ends. Movable bushing 11 a through hole is made to interact with the device operating position lock.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to improve safety in the liquidation of oil product leaks and to increase the reliability of bullet holes sealing.
