DEVICE FOR CONTACT POINT WELDING Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC B23K11/10 B23K11/30

Abstract RU 2649482 C1

FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for contact spot welding of reinforcing mesh. Cooled electrode is made with four peripheral percussion-transversal channels for refrigerant circulation and blind cylindrical cavity, bottom of which is located closer to its front end than said peripheral transverse channels. Shank is formed with cavity open into blind cylindrical cavity of electrode, wherein the first of peripheral transverse channels of electrode is intended for supplying coolant, and fourth one is connected to additional channel for discharge of coolant, which goes out into blind cylindrical cavity of electrode. Shank can be made with conical head in its front part, which is located in corresponding conical cavity of electrode and passes into external threaded part.

EFFECT: invention provides high resistance of electrode when welding simultaneously in 4 points of reinforcing mesh.
