SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to the field of manipulation of paper webs. Supply unit for the wrapping paper for use during the manufacturing of smoking articles comprises the first feeder, the second feeder, the splicing mechanism, and the matching system. First feeder is designed in order to feed the first web of the wrapping paper. Second feeder is designed in order to feed the second web of the tipping paper. Splice mechanism is configured in order to fix the first and the second wrapping paper webs to each other in order to switch between the first and the second feeders. Registration system is capable of combining the distinctive features of each web of the tipping paper before attaching the first and second webs of tipping paper to each other.
EFFECT: it is possible to switch from the first coil with the web to the second coil with the web.
