SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a compound suitable for use in medicine comprising a modified oligonucleotide and a conjugating group
wherein the modified oligonucleotide consists of 20 bound nitrogen bases complementary to the length of the portion of the nitrogenous bases 3533-3552 in SEQ ID NO: 3, wherein the modified oligonucleotide comprises a segment of a gap consisting of bound deoxynucleosides; wing segment 5', consisting of bound nucleosides; wing segment 3', consisting of bound nucleosides; while the gap segment is located between the segment of the wing 5' and wing segment 3', and each nucleoside of each segment of the wing contains modified sugar, and wherein at least one nucleoside contains a modified nitrogen base; and the modified oligonucleotide comprises at least one modified internucleoside linkage.
EFFECT: new conjugates of modified oligonucleotides and compositions based on them for the treatment have been proposed, preventing or slowing the progression of the disease associated with an elevated level of apolipoprotein C-III (ApoCIII).
