FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the electric power engineering and is intended for diagnosing the state and spatial position of various elements of overhead power lines. Claimed device comprises a helicopter-type aircraft, a control system, control units for overhead power lines and a power source, a moving means disposed in the body consisting of an engine associated with the running rollers and a pinch roller with a drive for pressing the test cable to the running rollers, while on the sides of the body there are guides fixed, facilitating the alignment of the running rollers with the test cable, wherein the pinch roller drive is fixed to the body such that the vertical plane of the pinch roller is positioned perpendicular to the test cable, the body is provided with a rotatable spring-biased overlapping element interacting with the axis of the pressure roller, with an abutment that interacts with the body, while the lower part of the overlapping element has a form of a cam with a groove into which the abutment of the spring-biased means enters, which in turn consists of two turning parts.
EFFECT: technical result is a complete elimination of the fall of the device from the cable during sharp landing.
