FIELD: electric power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric power industry and is intended for diagnostics of state and spatial position of following elements: lightning protection cable, power wires, support structure elements, suspension clamp and anchor fixture of lightning protection cable, insulators fasteners, garlands of insulators, vibration dampers and other equipment. Device for diagnosing overhead power transmission lines comprises a helicopter-type aircraft configured to move vertically relative to the housing in which the control system is arranged, control units of overhead power transmission lines, power supply, displacement device consisting of engine connected with running rollers, two pressure rollers serving to press the analyzed cable to the running rollers, and guides fixed on the housing, facilitating alignment of the rollers with the analyzed cable, note here that every clamping roller rotational axis is made up of lever articulated with its tie rod, second end of which is pivotally connected to aircraft. Besides, on the horizontal section of the body, on each edge there is a hole, in each of which there is a rod with a cap, the diameter of which is greater than the diameter of the hole, and the second end of each rod is rigidly fixed on the frame of the aircraft of helicopter type.

EFFECT: technical result consists in simplifying the design by eliminating an additional electric pressure roller and an additional control channel of the electric drive.
