SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft engineering, particularly to helicopter-type instrumentation, which is part of robotic and remotely controlled systems designed to perform various types of work in hard to access or dangerous for human health conditions, for example, to monitor conditions or perform repair works on power lines, in places with high background of radioactive radiations, etc. Device for diagnostics of overhead power transmission lines comprises an actuating unit, a working element consisting of two semi-cylinders interconnected by an axis and arranged between the wheels of the means of movement along the rope. On the side surface of each half-cylinder there is a pivotally connected rod, equipped with limiters of vertical movement, at that the second ends of the rods are fixed hingedly on the flight-lifting device, and the actuating unit in its horizontal part is equipped with two slots, through which tie-rods are passed.
EFFECT: simplification of device for remote control of power transmission lines by replacement of horizontal movement of shutters of working element by vertical movement.
