SUBSTANCE: there are provided: the combination of therapeutically effective amounts of the pharmaceutically acceptable zinc compound, ascorbic acid or the pharmaceutically acceptable salt and succinic acid thereof or the pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof for enhancing the efficacy of the antibacterial drug for local application of chlorhexidine, the pharmaceutical composition of the above composition for local application with the antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effect, the combined pharmaceutical preparation for local application of the same purpose and composition, the method of prevention and treatment of acute and chronic infections of the oral cavity and throat with the use of the mentioned composition or preparation.

EFFECT: inclusion of the combination of the compound of zinc, ascorbic acid and succinic acid into the pharmaceutical composition increased the efficacy of chlorhexidine and, as a result, allowed to use these antibacterial agents at substantially lower concentrations as part of the pharmaceutical composition (in the preparation) or to use the pharmaceutical preparation in reduced doses.
