FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the production of a metallic foam body, comprising a substrate made of at least one metal or metal alloy A and a layer of a metal or metal alloy B present on at least a part of the surface of the substrate, wherein A and B differ in the grain size of the metal or metal alloy. Method comprises forming a porous organic polymer foam, depositing on the foam a first metallic layer containing a metal or metal alloy A1 by a chemical or physical vapour deposition method and depositing a second metallic layer containing a metal or metal alloy A2 by electroplating, burning off the foam to obtain a substrate and depositing by electroplating a metallic layer of a metal or metal alloy B on at least a part of the surface of the metallic foam body substrate. Metal or metal alloy A1 is selected from the group consisting of Ni, Cr, Co, Cu, Ag and any of their alloys, and A2 and B are Ag.
EFFECT: obtaining a metallic foam body with a controlled grain size.
