SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding, namely, ship power plants. A single-cylinder ship power plant contains a vertically mounted, free-piston engine with one or more crank-piston power take-off mechanisms, which are located outside the working cylinder of the engine and connected to its damper chamber by two-link pipelines with articulated joints of links, which have an opportunity of rocking movements.
EFFECT: simplification and reliability of the ship power plant is achieved, as well as high efficiency.
