FIELD: optical instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in free-piston engines. The free-piston engine contains a vertically positioned working cylinder (1) with a free piston (2) inside and an interacting inner surface with a buffer cylinder coaxial with it (3). The power take-off mechanism is connected to the buffer cylinder (3) by a two-link pipeline (4) capable of performing rocking movements. The power take-off mechanism is made in the form of a cylinder (5) with a piston (6) inside and with a rod (7) coming out through one of the end walls of the cylinder. In the power take-off mechanism, at the average position of the piston (6), the cylinder (5) cavity with the rod (7) is filled with compressed air with a pressure about half that of the other cylinder (5) cavity.
EFFECT: simplifying the transmission of power.
