FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering, namely to thermal power plants, and can be used as an alternative to steam turbine power plants. Power plant contains a free-piston engine mounted in a well supported by an air cushion with a crank-piston power take-off mechanism located outside the working cylinder. With a steam boiler, water vapor condenser and crank-piston power take-off mechanism, the engine is connected by two-link pipelines with articulated links and capable of swinging movements.
EFFECT: invention provides higher efficiency and simplification of the design of steam power plants.
