FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the metal sheets processing in order to ensure their rigidity. In the method of the metal sheet rigidity ensuring by means of local remelting, a metal sheet of the necessary dimensions is prepared by mechanical and chemical processing in the range of (L×W×T) 300×100×2 mm to 3000×1500×12 mm from pearlite, bainitic or martensitic quenching steels of 30HGSA, 35HGSA grades and others. Metal sheet is fixed on the welding table or on the bay of the portal installation. Using a laser beam, the metal sheet local section is remelted to a full or partial thickness along a straight or curved path along or across the metal sheet. Remelting modes depend on the required depth of the melted layer (complete or incomplete remelting), the sheet thickness, the required microstructure as a result of the processing. Local remelting mode main parameters are the linear remelting rate and the laser radiation power.
EFFECT: processing strategy and local remelting modes are set by the program of the robotic complex.
