FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: method for severe preeclampsia risk prediction for Russian women, natives of Central Black Earth Region, relates to the field of medical diagnostics. The method involves DNA isolation from the peripheral venous blood. Analysis of MMP-2 (rs243865), MMP-8 (rs11225395), MMP-8 (rs1320632), MMP-9 (rs17577) genes polymorphisms. The risk factor for development of severe PE is a combination of genetic variants G MMP-9 (rs17577) and G MMP-2 (rs243865). The combination of T MMP-8 (rs11225395) and A MMP-9 (rs17577) has a protective value for formation of severe preeclampsia.
EFFECT: invention can be used in obstetrics for prediction of complications in the second half of pregnancy, namely the risk of severe preeclampsia, considering the genetic data.
