FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing high homogenous in size (10–20 nm) nanoparticles of silver in water medium, comprising placing two electrodes in distilled water in container, one of which is made of silver, transmission between electrodes of alternating electric current. Method is characterized in that silver plate is used as the second electrode, the electrodes are separated with each other by microporous membrane, and process of electrolytic decomposition is carried out with presence of a catalyst, whose role is performed by ammonia solution NH3 and peroxide solution H2O2, both substances are taken in molar ratio of 3:1, with molar ratio of given catalyst mixture to the total volume of distilled water is 1:100.
EFFECT: simplicity and cheapness, low energy and resource intensity of obtaining high homogenous in size (10–20 nm) nanoparticles of silver in water medium with simultaneous insensitivity to light, kinetic stability, thermodynamic stability, presence of each particle charge preventing the adhesion of particles by a small constant of instability, the micellar shape – with a reduction in size, the number of particles increases by orders of magnitude.
