FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing nanosized silver particles in an aqueous medium, comprising placing two electrodes in distilled water contained in a container, one of which is made of silver, passing between electrodes of direct current. Method is characterized by that the second electrode used is a silver plate, the electrodes are separated with a microporous membrane, wherein the electrolytic decomposition process is carried out in the presence of a catalyst, the role of which is carried out with an aqueous solution of ammonia NH3 in concentration of 0.5–2.5 wt%.

EFFECT: simplicity and cheapness, low energy and resource intensity of obtaining nanosized particles of silver in water medium with simultaneous insensitivity to light, kinetic stability, thermodynamic stability, presence of each particle charge preventing the adhesion of particles by a small constant of instability, the micellar shape – with a reduction in size, the number of particles increases by orders of magnitude.
