FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemistry and nanotechnology and specifically to a method of producing nanosized calcium particles in an aqueous medium, comprising placing two electrodes in distilled water contained in a container, one of which is made of gold or platinum with a neutral hydrogen number, passing between electrodes of stabilized direct current of 2 A, characterized by that the second electrode used is a gold or platinum plate, electrodes are separated with each other by a microporous membrane, wherein the electrolytic decomposition process is carried out in the presence of a catalyst, the catalyst is a mixture of a solution of citric acid C6H8O7 in concentration of 0.25–5 wt% or 0.25–5 mol% and working solution of Ca(OH)2 at concentration of 20–40 wt% or 20–40 mol%, with ratio of catalyst to total volume of distilled water 1:100.
EFFECT: invention provides a novel method of producing calcium nanoparticles having insensitivity to light, kinetic and thermodynamic stability, a charge in each particle which prevents sticking of particles, low constant instability.
