SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics, and can be used in the assessment of chronic pain in the system of joints and articulations providing a walking function. For this patient is offered to determine the pain in joints and joints such as the right ankle joint, right knee joint, right hip joint, pelvis, lumbar spine, left foot, left ankle joint, left knee joint, left hip joint. Intensity of pain is assessed on a four-point scale. Patient assesses which of these joints and joints feels severe pain, moderate pain, mild pain while walking and at rest. At the next stage, a number of quantitative characteristics (B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B6) are determined on the basis of the obtained data. Then based on these characteristics, the relative parameters (P1, P2, P3, P4, P5, P6) are calculated. Final stage is the combined index of painful joints and articulations of the kinematic chain providing walking, P_total, as the ratio of the sum of these parameters to six, expressed as a percentage. According to obtained exponent P_total evaluate the degree of involvement of the joints and joints providing the walking function in the pain syndrome.
