FIELD: biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biochemistry, in particular to a method for integrating a nucleic acid sequence of interest in a FAD2 gene into a soybean cell comprising site-specific cleavage of the FAD2 gene of a soybean cell using a zinc finger nuclease. Site-specific nuclease with "zinc fingers" is also disclosed for use for modifying the FAD2 gene.
EFFECT: invention effectively integrates the nucleic acid sequence of interest into the soybean cell.
