FIELD: biochemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biochemistry, in particular, to a method for detecting a donor DNA polynucleotide insertion at the targeted genomic locus DAS-59132 of a maize plant. Above method comprises: amplification of a sample of genomic DNA containing the target genomic locus using a first plurality of oligonucleotides SEQ ID NO: 1–5, to obtain the first amplicon containing the target genomic locus, and detecting the presence or absence of the first amplicon, with the absence of the first amplicon indicating the presence of a donor DNA polynucleotide in the target genomic locus.

EFFECT: invention allows to determine the presence of an exogenous donor polynucleotide DNA in the target genomic locus DAS-59132 with high efficiency.
