FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to imaging and relates to a method for generating an interlaced print file for a lens sheet with slanted lenticules. Method comprises steps of providing digital files for a set of frames for interlacing, inputting a slant angle for lenticules of the lens sheet, interlacing the frames to form an interlaced print file by spacing each of the frames into colour pixels and positioning the colour pixels in the print file based on a pattern of pixel locations provided in a predefined pixel matrix, and configuring the pixel matrix to map the colour pixels of each of the frames for lenticules based on the slant angle. Pixel matrix includes a plurality of identical submatrices, each with the same number of rows and columns. Frame interlacing is non-orthogonal to the longitudinal axis of each of the lenticules. Pixel matrix comprises the spaced sets of colour pixels of each of the frames. Pixel locations for each of the spaced sets are arranged in a line at an offset angle approximately equal to the slant angle of the lenticules.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reducing the thickness of the lenticules and increasing the amount of information placed under the lenses.
