METHOD OF WORKING MEDIUM SUPPLY Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC B23H1/10 B23H9/00 B23H9/14

Abstract RU 2656628 C2

FIELD: fuel.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the piercing of through holes in closed cavities intended to contain combustibles, such as liquid hydrogen and oxygen, used as fuel for rocket engines, in which before the filling of cavities with combustible substances, the presence of any substances other than pure distilled water is not allowed. In the method, before the start of piercing in the closed cavity of the through hole, in case of electroerosive piercing, the closed cavity is filled with distilled water under pressure exceeding the pressure of the distilled water based working medium pumped through the electrode, after which the piercing of the through hole is conducted with the pumping of the working medium through the electrode with the pressure of the working medium pumped through the electrode before opening the hole in the closed cavity. Hole is then formed over the entire depth, with distilled water removed from the closed cavity with the products of processing to the outside, while entering of used distilled water into the closed cavity is blocked by pumping pure distilled water from the closed cavity through the opened hole, under the end of the electrode.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at eliminating the penetration of contaminated working medium into the closed cavity in case of electroerosive piercing of through hole after hole opening.
