SUBSTANCE: invention relates to security monitoring methods and can be used in applications of double-beam passive infrared detection means (DM) for signalling control of road network. Method consists in control of X-shaped intersection of roads (XIR) of DM; installing two of the three DMs diagonally from the XIR opposing inner sides and orienting such that the optical axes of their detection zones (DZ) cross two roads; installation for each of three DMs of the minimum allowable distance to the far from it road, at which the DZ of the person and the vehicle of the DM has crossed only the road nearest to it, and vehicle DZ only crossed only long-distance road; installation of the third DM on the XIR outer side and orientation so, that its human and vehicle DZ crossed on the road with the vehicle only one DM, and DZ of vehicle only intersected on other road with DZ of person and vehicle of remaining DM; detection of an intruder and determination of its side of motion relative to the XIR centre when it crosses the DZ; providing recording by a system for collecting and processing information (SCPI) of signals from the DM; establishing maximum time for accumulating SCPI of signals from the DM from the moment of arrival of the first alarm signal based on the minimum possible speed of the person on the road and the distance travelled by the person between the DM DZ; using an intruder type identification algorithm based on the number of alarm signals received for a specified maximum accumulation time of signals: one or two alarm signals - PN, three signals - NA; recognition by the algorithm of the violator's direction of movement in the direction of the alarm signals transmission to the intruder of motion relative to the XIR centre. Method includes a preparatory stage with unfolding according to the developed scheme of the DM at the XIR and the main stage, which starts with the arrival of the alarm signal and ends with forming an output on the type of the detected intruder: PN or NA and direction of its movement.
EFFECT: technical result consists in obtaining the possibility of detecting the type of intruder - PN or NA with low probability of error and using only three DM.
