In the method for measuring the parameters of bulk materials in tanks using an optical device fixed above the surface of the material to be measured, hermetically segregated from it by an optically transparent element, as a measuring device use two laser-range finder, one of which is installed in the center of the cap over an optically transparent element sealed from the bulk material, so that the optical axis of the laser-rangefinder coincides with the axis of symmetry of the tank, the second laser range finder is mounted in the peripheral part of the cap over the optically transparent element sealed from the bulk material so that the optical axis of the laser-rangefinder is parallel to the axis of symmetry of the tank, while in the process of monitoring the first laser-range finder determines the distance from the lid to the surface of the bulk material, and the second is the distance h2 from the reservoir cover to the point lying on the intersection of the surface of the bulk material with the surface of the tank and the volume of bulk material in the tank is calculated by the formula.

EFFECT: technical result is the simplification of the method and the improvement of the accuracy of the control.
