FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to record the loose media level in tanks in various industries: chemical, pharmaceutical, food, construction, etc. In the bulk materials in tanks parameters measuring method using the optical device, as the measuring device laser rangefinder is used, which is secured on the pivot hinge over optically transparent element formed in the hermetically isolated from the bulk material and covered with the transparent dust-repellent film tank cover peripheral region, at that, in the measurement process, without the tank hermetic cover opening, switching on the laser range finder and determining the shortest distance h1 from the cover to the bulk material surface with the tank side wall intersection line, after which turning the laser rangefinder for an angle of β, lying in the range 0<β≤α, where α is the bulk material slope angle, and at the specified angle of β measuring the distance to the loose surface distance, comparing the h1 and h2 values and the bulk substance Vc in the tank total volume, and calculating according to the corresponding formula.
EFFECT: method simplification and increased control accuracy.
