SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, ENT diseases, and can be used for early diagnosis of cochleovestibular disorders in children with type I diabetes mellitus. Determine the thresholds of sounds perception with tonal audiometry in the range of 8,000–16,000 Hz. Perform the tabilometric examination. Reveal the phenomenon of accelerated growth of loudness (PAGL). Evaluate the stat-coordination samples together with the determination of the equilibrium function coefficient (EFC) in the Romberg test with open and closed eyes, as well as the length and area of the statokinesgram. Analyze these indicators for 7–10 days of corrective insulin therapy. When combined: raising the thresholds of the sounds perception by 20±5.6 dB at the above specified frequencies, the presence of the PAGL, and with variations in the coefficient of the equilibrium function in the Romberg test with open eyes 72.2±1.8 % to 85.3±1.4 %, reveal the cochleovestibular disorders in children at early stage in the test with eyes closed with 55.6±2.4 % to 69.4±2.7 %, increase in the length of the statokinesigram by 12.7±0.9 %, area of 10.2±1.7 %.

EFFECT: method allows the early diagnosis of cochleovestibular disorders in children with type 1 diabetes by evaluating the complex of the most significant indicators.
