FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a backlight excitation technology for a display device. Backlight source drive circuit of the liquid crystal display includes an error signal amplifying unit and an excitation control unit. Error amplifying unit receives a feedback voltage from the backlight and is used to compare the feedback voltage with the reference voltage for adjusting the amplification coefficient and the amplification speed for amplifying the comparison result according to the comparison result, and outputting the amplification result as a control signal. Drive control unit receives a control signal from the error amplification unit and is used for outputting a pulse width modulating dimming signal with a corresponding duty factor according to the control signal, so as to modulate a voltage signal that is output by a power supply.

EFFECT: technical result is an improvement in the reproduction characteristics of moving images on the display device due to the higher response rate of the illuminating illumination circuit.
