FIELD: motors and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the air-fuel ratio control in the internal combustion engine. Closed-loop ratio control system includes an air-fuel ratio sensor configured so, that its output current value is linearly varying in accordance with the oxygen concentration, and the air-fuel ratio control means, capable to perform the air-fuel ratio closed-loop control for the closed-loop control over the injected fuel amount based on the detected value from the air-fuel ratio sensor, so, that the internal combustion engine exhaust gas reaches the predetermined air-fuel ratio. Air-fuel ratio control device further includes the prohibiting means for closed-loop control inhibition, when the air-fuel ratio reaches or exceeds the predetermined rich air-fuel ratio. Air-fuel ratio control device allows the closed-loop control for predetermined period after the air-fuel ratio has reached or exceeds the predetermined rich air-fuel ratio.
EFFECT: provision of the air-fuel ratio control device and the air-fuel ratio control method, with which the air-fuel ratio closed-loop control can be performed in the wider range.
