FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, in particular to a method for applying a discontinuous coating of a metal selected from titanium, zirconium, hafnium, vanadium, niobium or tantalum on the inner and outer surfaces of the polymer prosthesis of a blood vessel made of polyethylene terephthalate; as well as to a prosthesis of a blood vessel containing a framework of polyethylene terephthalate with a discontinuous coating of metal applied.
EFFECT: implementation of the invention makes it possible to shorten the time of neointima formation throughout the internal surface of the prosthesis of the blood vessel due to the technology of discontinuous coating on the inner or outer surface of the prosthesis.
