FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to otorhinolaryngology. Method for predicting the course of sensorineural hearing loss (SNT) involves the examination of the patient's blood serum and distal radius of the non-dominant forearm, in which the value of indices of the T-test (T) characterizing the mural density of the examined bone tissue is determined; in the blood serum, the concentrations of total calcium (Cat), mmol/L, ionized calcium (Cai), mmol/L, bone alkaline phosphatase (BAPH), mcg/l, calcitonin (Ct), pg/ml and osteo-calcine (Oc), ng/ml; under simultaneous fulfillment of conditions (-2.5)<T<(-1.0), 2.15<Cat<2.18, 1.01<Cai<1.11, 32.20<BAPH<34.20, 1.28<Ct<2.68, and 2.80<Oc<4.60 predict slow progression of SNT; under simultaneous fulfillment of conditions T≤(-2.5), Cat≤2.15, Cai≤1.01, BAPH≤32.20, Ct≤1.28 and Oc≤2.80 predict rapid progression of SNT.
EFFECT: invention can be used to predict progressive course of sensorineural hearing loss (SNT).
