FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a special brass alloy and a product of the special brass alloy subjected to a frictional load. 1. Special brass alloy contains, wt%: 58–64 Cu, 1–3 Mn, 1–3 Ni, 0.1–1 Al, 0.2–1.5 Si, 0.1–1.5 Fe, ≤0.5 Sn, ≤0.5 Pb, the balance is Zn and unavoidable impurities. Special brass alloy product used for working in friction conditions is processed by hot forming, annealing and cold drawing, such that the yield limit RP0.2 is in the range 350–590 MPa, tensile strength Rm is in the range of 400–650 MPa and the elongation at break A5 in the range of 3–19 %.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at prolonging the service life of the product in dry friction conditions.
