FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to articles made of brass alloys operating in friction conditions in a medium of a lubricating material. Forged friction product for operation in a medium of a lubricating material is made of a brass alloy containing, % wt.: 62.5 to 65 Cu, 2.0 to 2.4 Mn, 0.7 to 0.9 Ni, 1.9 to 2.3 Al, 0.35 to 0.65 Si, 0.3 to 0.6 Fe, 0.18 to 0.4 Sn and Cr, either individually or combined, ≤ 0.1 Pb, the rest Zn and inevitable impurities, wherein the alloy has a structure containing a α-β mixed crystalline matrix with a proportion of α-phase from 35 to 55% and with a proportion of intermetallic phases from 2 to 5%.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at increasing the resistance of articles to thermal relaxation by creating a homogeneous finely granular structure.
