SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, radiation diagnosis, ophthalmology, plastic and maxillofacial surgery, can be used to assess the state of soft tissues in acute and long-term post-traumatic periods, for an objective assessment of the limitation period of trauma, in the framework of preoperative planning and a fundamental choice of treatment tactics. Conduct a multispiral computed tomography (MCT) in the position of the patient lying on the back with the positioning of his gaze directly and centrally on the color label located on the computer tomograph gantry. Conduct measurement of density of soft tissues of the posterior part of the orbit in the space between the optic nerve and the lower rectus muscle in at least three different points. Measure soft tissue density of anterior part of the orbit in at least three different points. If orbital density of soft tissues is detected in at least three points: values of tissue density of the anterior and posterior parts of the orbit from the range -40…-105 HU suggest a normal state of the soft tissues of the orbit. At tissue density values of the anterior and posterior parts of the orbit from the range -41…+30 HU suggest the state of the soft tissues of the orbit as “presence of fresh trauma”. At soft tissue density values, the orbits, regardless of their location from the range of +31…+80 HU suggest the presence of blood in the tissues of the orbit.

EFFECT: method provides accurate and correct information on changes in soft tissue density of the orbit after trauma.
