SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for the preparation of an oxide catalyst comprising Mo, V, Sb and Nb, for use in a reaction of vapor-phase catalytic oxidation or vapor-phase catalytic ammoxidation of propane or isobutane. Method comprises following steps: preparation step comprising: preparation of a first aqueous mixed solution containing Mo, V, and Sb; mixing step comprising mixing the first aqueous mixed solution with a basic substrate material comprising a silica sol and a basic material Nb for preparing a second aqueous mixed solution; drying step comprising drying the second aqueous mixed solution for preparing a dry powder; and calcining step including calcining the dry powder for preparing an oxide catalyst. Basic substrate material comprises 25 wt% or more, in terms of SiO2, silica sol, wherein the average primary particle size is 3.0 nm or more and less than 11 nm, with respect to the total amount of the basic substrate material, and the silica sol comprises 55 % or more of silica sol particles wherein the primary particle size is less than 11 nm. Invention also relates to a method for the preparation of unsaturated nitrile comprising the preparation of an unsaturated nitrile by a reaction of vapor-phase catalytic ammoxidation of propane or isobutane in the presence of an oxide catalyst prepared by the inventive method for the preparation of an oxide catalyst.
EFFECT: technical result is simplified method for the preparation of an oxide catalyst and increased yield of unsaturated nitrile.
