Computing device receives an image of the candidate sign and uses the image to create a sign feature profile, filters out from the profile all components of spatial frequencies with the exception of the first band of spatial frequency components, that results the first filtered profile for the characteristic, repeats this filtering process for the second band of spatial frequency components, that results a second filtered profile for the feature and can repeat this filtering process for additional spatial frequency bands, compares the first filtered profile of the candidate-sign with the equivalent first filtered profile of the original character, and can repeat the process for additional filtered profiles.
EFFECT: technical result is to increase the accuracy.
