FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to ophthalmology. For YAG laser iridectomy, primary focusing is performed at distance of 1.5-2 mm from iris posterior surface. They are affected by series of pulses with gradual displacement of focus at each pulse toward anterior surface of iris until focus is on its front surface. Impact is carried out until through hole is obtained. Focus shift for each pulse is preferably 200-300 μm. Total energy of laser action is predominantly 60-80 mJ.

EFFECT: method provides reduction in reactive syndrome and elimination of possible complications associated with usage of contact lens.
