FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to continuous casting combined with rolling. Steel melt containing (wt%): C – up to 0.008, Al – up to 0.005, Si – 0.043, Mn – 0.15–0.5, P – up to 0.02, S – up to 0.03, N – up to 0.020, optionally up to 0.03 Ti and up to 0.03 Nb, the balance is iron and unavoidable impurities, is prepared by using non-calcined treatment by secondary metallurgical treatment methods, including vacuum treatment and crucible furnace treatment, during which the steel melt is kept under a slag layer with a Mn+Fe content of <15 wt%. Continuous casting produces an ingot and from which a thin slab is cut off, or a cast strip is produced by continuous casting. Slab or strip is hot rolled to produce a hot-rolled strip having a thickness of less than 2.5 mm, which is wound into a roll, and then cold rolled to obtain a cold-rolled flat product having a thickness of 0.5 mm. Obtained product is used for the production of cans, including aerosol cans, capping elements, crown corks or sprayers.
EFFECT: achieving a degree of purity of the steel melt from non-metals, which ensures deep drawing and ironing of the steel.
