FIELD: image processing means.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to image encoding means for encoding image signals including a luminance signal and a color difference signal. Apparatus includes an intra-frame luminance prediction mode decoding unit that decodes the luminance signal intra-frame prediction syntax element; block for decoding the intra-frame color-prediction mode; block of intra-frame prediction of the luminance signal and an intra-frame prediction block for the color difference signal of the color difference signal conversion unit, and, in the case where the pixels of the luminance signal and the color difference signal are different from each other, the intra-frame color-prediction mode decoding unit converts the mode number of the first intra-frame color-prediction mode used in the case of equality of the aspect relationships to one another, and extracts the second intra-frame color-prediction mode used in the case where aspect ratios differ from each other.

EFFECT: technical result consists in providing encoding of the intra-frame prediction mode in accordance with the color-difference format.
