TURBULENT RHEOMETER Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC G01N11/06

Abstract RU 2662502 C1

FIELD: airfield equipment.

SUBSTANCE: turbulent rheometer refers to the field of laboratory equipment used to evaluate the effectiveness of anti-turbulent additives by determining the hydrodynamic parameters of fluid flow in a turbulent flow. Turbulent rheometer includes a storage tank and a capillary equipped with a jacket for circulating a thermostatic liquid, force main, thermostat, thermocouple and a logger for monitoring the temperature of the liquid being studied, receiving tank under estimated overpressure, a container for draining a tested liquid, ball valves for the supply and discharge of the test liquid and nitrogen, reducers for creating the necessary pressure in the supply and receiving tanks, strain gage sensor for measuring fluid flow time, analog-digital converter, personal computer.

EFFECT: technical result is the creation of a rheometer design that will allow testing of turbulent fluid flows with high accuracy in a wide range of Reynolds numbers, at temperatures above its boiling point and at pressure drops of up to 12 MPa.
