CONTINUOUS FLOW SEPARATION CHAMBER Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61M1/36 B04B5/04

Abstract RU 2662856 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment. Centrifuge bowl for comprises an outer body rotatable about a longitudinal axis of the centrifuge bowl and defining an interior cavity, the outer body having a main wall, a neck and an intermediate portion connecting the main wall and the neck. Top core is located within and rotatable with the outer body. Separation region is located between the top core and the outer body. Centrifuge bowl is designed such that rotation of the centrifuge bowl separates the whole blood within the separation region into a first blood component and a second blood component. Inlet port serves for introducing whole blood. First blood component outlet port serves for drawing a first blood component. First blood component extraction tube extends from the first blood component outlet port. Second blood component outlet port is fluidly connected to the separation region for drawing a second blood component. Partition disk extends radially inward from the neck portion of the outer body, and is designed such that the second blood component can flow over the partition disk into the neck portion of the outer body prior to exiting the centrifuge bowl via the second blood component outlet port. Rotary seal is attached to the outer body and fluidly couples the inlet port, first blood component outlet port, and second blood component outlet port to the outer body. Versions of structural implementation of the centrifuge bowl are disclosed.

EFFECT: technical result is to ensure continuous blood separation without interrupting the equipment periodically.
