FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of organic chemistry, and namely to a sulfaguanidine preparation process. In accordance with the proposed sulfaguanidine preparation method, reaction mass comprising water, technical sulfaguanidine and charcoal is heated to a temperature of 100-105 °C and held for 35-40 minutes, then the reaction mass is cooled for 3-7 hours to a temperature of 25 °C, centrifuged, washed with purified water to a content of chlorides of not more than 0.02% and sulfates of not more than 0.04%, and dried at a temperature of 100±10 °C to a moisture content of not more than 8%.
EFFECT: invention provides the possibility of obtaining sulfaguanidine of compendial grade and increase in the yield of the finished product.
