SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, specifically to means of forming three-dimensional ultrasound images. Ultrasound imaging system for inspecting an object in a volume comprises an ultrasound image acquisition probe, comprising a device for tracking the position of the probe and providing a viewpoint position of the three-dimensional ultrasound images, an image processor configured to receive a plurality of three-dimensional ultrasound images and their respective viewpoint positions, and to conduct segmentation of the object simultaneously out of the plurality of three-dimensional ultrasound images. Method for providing an ultrasound image is carried out by a system which also comprises a computer-readable medium storing a computer program for performing steps of the method for providing an ultrasound image of an object in a volume.

EFFECT: use of inventions widens the range of means for automated segmentation and recording of three-dimensional ultrasound images of objects.
