FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the crossbow safety devices. Crossbow includes body and actuator. Body includes trigger device, first safety device and string, which is attached thereto. Trigger device has the trigger device firing trigger. Activator is located at the body rear part and has a cocking mechanism. Second safety device is located between the cocking mechanism and the body and includes pin and contact element. Upon action on the activator, the activator is displaced from the pin, which rotates the contact element and the contact element comes into contact with the first safety device to limit the trigger device firing trigger. When the activator is idle and located on the body, the activator acts on the pin and rotates the contact element, and the first safety device is released so, that pressing the trigger device firing trigger becomes possible.
EFFECT: enabling increase in the crossbow safety.
