SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an apparatus for producing a filter rod for use in the production of smoking articles, which comprises a work station for receiving material of filtering plugs and wrapping tape material and forming a wrapped filter rod from material of filtering plugs and wrapping tape material; at least one cutting blade for cutting a wrapped filter rod on elongated rod segments; and a transport device comprising a rotary drum having on the outer surface of the drum a plurality of grooves arranged through gaps, which are made and arranged to receive elongated rod segments during rotation of the drum, and the drum further comprises locking means, which are located at one end of each of the grooves and opposite which the elongated filter rods are arranged when they are arranged inside the grooves; wherein said locking means comprise a rod with a main cylindrical body having a first diameter (D1) and extending along an axis (F) of the groove between a first end, on which the pin is attached to the frame of the drum, and a second end opposite to the first end; and pin comprises thrust section extending along axis (F) from second end of main cylindrical body, having diameter (D2), smaller than first diameter (D1), and forming a substantially flat surface to support end of elongated filter rod.

EFFECT: technical result consists in ensuring gluing efficiency of the cooling bar.
