SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to Coriolis flowmeter devices and methods, and more particularly to Coriolis flowmeter devices and methods for determining operational thresholds for a multiphase fluid stream. Electronic meter (20) for flow meter (5) adapted to receive a process fluid includes interface (201) adapted to communicate with the assembly of flowmeter (5) and receive an oscillatory response. Electronic meter (20) comprises driver gain threshold determination program (215) configured to determine first predetermined drive gain threshold (302), monitoring the drive amplification signal for a predetermined period of time, and determining the lower points in the drive amplification signal for a predetermined period of time. Second drive gain threshold is determined based on the achievement of a predetermined number of occurrences of the lower points of the drive amplification signal. These embodiments provide methods used to determine the ideal threshold.

EFFECT: reducing the problems associated with setting the appropriate drive amplification threshold for working with a multiphase flow.
