FIELD: coal processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of energy technological processing of coal, in particular to the production of thermal energy from coal and high-calorific solid fuels (coke) for metallurgy, energy and other industries. Method for processing coal to produce solid fuel and heat energy includes thermo-oxidative treatment of crushed coal in an apparatus with a fluidized bed reactor, in which coal is fed with a fraction of 0–35 mm and air, maintain a temperature of 650–800 °C. Air under the air distribution grate is fed through independently adjustable sections along the length of the fluidized bed, In this case, primary air is supplied to the first section at a flow rate in the range of 4,500–6,500 nm3/(m2⋅h), in the second section – 3,500–5,500 nm3/(m2⋅h), and in the third section – 1,500–3,500 nm3/(m2⋅h).
EFFECT: technical result is an increase in the specific yield of coke per tonne of processed coal and the capacity of the unit per square meter of the gas distribution grid, as well as a decrease in the ash content of the resulting coke and, as a result, an increase in the specific heat of combustion.
