FIELD: measurement; testing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a motion control signal recognition device. Device operates as follows. Image captured around a vehicle is obtained from a camera; position of the vehicle is obtained; target control signal on the travel path that references map information is set. Map information includes path data and motion control signal data. Path data include information about the path being connected and the direction of travel that are associated with each other. Image region of the motion control signal is selected based on the position information of the motion control signal and the image capture property information of the camera. Content of the motion control signal is recognised for motion control based on the image of the motion control signal in the image region.

EFFECT: providing accuracy of motion control signal recognition.
